The Honorable Lauren M. Parker was elected Register of Wills in 2006 – the 28th Register to serve the citizens of Anne Arundel County.
Admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1982 and the Federal Bar, District of Maryland in 1983, Lauren practiced law for over 20 years in Anne Arundel County prior to her election as Register of Wills. Lauren brings her years of experience in the areas of Estates, Wills, Trusts, Guardianships and Family Law to work for the citizens of Anne Arundel County on a daily basis.
In addition to her legal experience, Lauren has the administrative experience of serving as a Managing Attorney. She has also given freely of her time, earning a Certificate of Voluntary Service for acting as a Family Law Facilitator for the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County. Lauren regularly speaks for the Anne Arundel Community College Law School for the Public Day speaking for the Estates and Trusts section.
Since taking office, Lauren enacted the Anne Arundel County Fair Outreach Program beginning in 2008 where she has a booth at the fair to teach the public the function of the Register of Wills office and to assist the citizens with their questions first-hand. Included in this outreach program is a series of speaking engagements for numerous organizations including rotary clubs, homeowners associations, improvement associations, Zontas, senior associations, partners in care, NARFE, and many other charities.

Lauren is a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County and currently resides in Pasadena, Maryland with her husband and son. She is the daughter of Master Chief Hospital Corpsman Calvin W. Parker, USN Retired (deceased) and June L. Parker (deceased).
Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Baltimore (Cum Laude, Deans List, Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society) and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law (Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Law Merit Award).
