March 22, 2018: Join Lauren at 11th Annual Breakfast

Dear Friends,

I am proud to announce that our 11th Annual Spring Breakfast with the Register will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Brian Boru Irish Restaurant and Pub, located at 489 Ritchie Highway, in Severna Park.

For 11 years now, with your unwavering support and dedication to our cause, I have been able to serve you and the citizens of Anne Arundel County in their most dire of times. Throughout my time in office, I have come to cherish and appreciate just how many of you trust my ability to
serve these families.

Every day, my staff and I work towards making the office and the county a better place for everyone. My goal is to make the office as cost efficient and user-friendly as possible. To accomplish this, we utilize the most effective technology to cut costs and improve access to our services. Since last year, we have eliminated the certified mail requirement, perfected serving copies online, streamlined forms and workflow, and work tirelessly towards offering more and more of the Register’s services electronically. My long-term goal is to preside over an up-and-coming e-filing system for the office.

Even in 2018, when you call my office or walk in for service, we greet you with a live person. As long as I am Register, you will never deal with the frustration of poorly designed systems that serve only to frustrate instead of enhance the experience. That is my promise – I will only endorse and provide service that enhances your experience, and do this in the most cost-effective way. My door is open to you, your kindness, your concerns, and your ideas. I look forward to seeing you on March 22nd.

Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County in 2018

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Many months ago, I began working towards being your 2018 Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County. At the first opportunity, I filed to continue to be your Register of Wills.

Over the course of my third term as Register of Wills, I’ve worked towards many important goals for the office. I would like to take a moment to review the completed projects in my office.

Started accepting credit cards for payment, assisted in redesigning the Register of Wills website, approved changes to improved server technology in my own office, and assisted in passing laws to reduce reliance on paper.

Updated all office computers to Windows 10, started accepting online credit card payments for invoices, and began the paper reduction initiative to eliminate reliance on paper records.

Updated 30+ forms on the website and within the office as set forth by the Court of Appeals, created a PDF processing plan in preparation for offering copies online, greatly improved the paper reduction law, created an inventory system for office asset management, and updated all employee office equipment.

Made delivery of copies online possible using credit cards, began delivering online copies with great success, greatly improved data safety through better backup and recovery plans, improvements to statutory inventory and record-keeping requirements, online employee training sessions, and fully-functioning paper reduction initiative.

My goal and my passion is to keep the spirit of this agency headed ever forward into the future. True constituent service comes with intuitive and cost-effective services that reduce costs and improve access. I feel like the last four years have been a testament to that spirit. I hope, with your support, to continue to take this office forward in the coming years. Thank you.

Thank You Anne Arundel County!

To all of my supporters,

We won!!

Thank you for all of your support and for believing in our vision for the present and future of this office.

From your help, we can continue with our project plans for modernization and personalized service for the citizens of our county.

Again, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for helping make this campaign a success.

Capital Gazette Endorses Lauren Parker!

For the full story, click here:

“The situation is even clearer in two other races. In eight years as register of wills, Republican incumbent Lauren Parker has striven to modernize her office — which handles the disposition of estates — and make it customer-friendly. Democrat Jacqueline Allsup — the head of the county NAACP and a professor of nursing at Anne Arundel Community College — might well be able to do the job proficiently. But she has made no specific case for ousting Parker.”

“We endorse Leitess, Parker and Bateman.”

Happy Hour with Lauren Parker!

Dear Friends:

Your unwavering and generous support secured our overwhelming win in the June Republican Primary. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The primary race was unfortunately a bitter and expensive one. That said, I ask for your continued support as the general election fast approaches, in just 60 days. Please join me Wednesday, October 1, 2014, from 5:00P.M. to 7:30P.M., for a Happy Hour at Mother’s Peninsula Grille, 969 Ritchie Highway, in Arnold.

I couldn’t be prouder of the level of service my office provides the citizens of Anne Arundel County. We continue to modernize the office, while always jealously guarding the personalized service that you have come to expect when you need us. Your calls are still answered by a human being and you are still promptly greeted with a smile when you visit the office. At the same time, every day we continue to look for ways to save you money, by among other initiatives, implementing a paperless records system to eliminate the high costs of storage and maintenance of paper records. And, we still offer the best deal going of safeguarding your Will for a one-time fee of $5.00.

My staff makes it all possible and I consider them the best in the business. They are the reason that we continue to be a model of efficiency and customer service. Now, more than ever, I need your continued support as we head in to the General Election on November 4, 2014. Asalways, my door continues to be open to your welcomed ideas, concerns or comments.
